Refresher Antenatal Classes
Happy Parents, again!
This course is ideal for second or subsequent time parents who are looking to refresh their knowledge, debrief on previous birth experiences, prepare older children or make new friends.
It’s perfect for those that have had babies in the last 3 years and would like a refresher. If you have a larger age gap or if one parent is a first time parent, the in-person or live-online course may be more suitable.
Our classes include:
- Live online refresher sessions with our team of specialists
- Online portal of videos, notes, printable documents, and hypnobirthing MP3s
- Session recordings, so no need to find a babysitter!
- Option to add social package for just £25
Social package explained (available in areas with in-person courses)
- Meet other local parents-to-be, due at a similar time, who are attending the in-person course
- Join the WhatsApp group and two social sessions
- Please note, we can’t guarantee there will always be second time parents, but it’s a great way to meet a new group of friends

Course content
Hypnobirthing
Our midwife and obstetric doctor will support you as you prepare to meet your baby. From things to do in pregnancy, such as writing birth preferences and packing bags, to recognising the signs of labour and knowing what to expect at each stage. Our doctor will also explain when you might be offered induction, assisted or Caesarean birth and help you make any birth as positive as possible.
Feeding
Our feeding team including an IBCLC feeding specialist will recap and support you whether you wish to breastfeed or bottle feed your baby.
Baby first aid
Our baby first aid instructor will recap managing choking, resuscitation (CPR), the recovery position, burns, fevers, febrile seizures, rashes and meningitis.
Your new family dynamic
Our team will help you to prepare older children for the new arrival and also discuss useful tips for caring for multiple children.

Are birth partners included in the course cost?
Absolutely! Birth partners play a really important role, so we encourage them to watch the content on the course portal with you and also join the live Q&A sessions.
When will I get access to the course portal?
Do I need to watch the videos on the portal before the Q&A session?
Yes, we would recommend watching the videos in the portal before your Q&A. No new content is covered is the Q&A sessions
How do I access the Live online Q&A sessions?
You can access these via the link in the course portal
What if I can’t make one/some of the online sessions?
Our live online Q&A sessions are recorded so that you can catch up and watch later at a convenient time via the course portal.
Are all the sessions included in the course price?
All of the sessions are included in the course price — we guarantee no sneaky, hidden costs!
What are the 2 socials within the social add on?
The celebration social is a chance to get to know local families before your babies are born
The reunion is a chance to catch up once your babies are born

How does the social work?
When you book a refresher course with social add on you will be choose a social event local to your area and matched to your due date/course date.
This can be with a mixture of first time or subsequent time expectant parents that have taken our in person course in that location.
You’ll be added to the WhatsApp group for your course’s social the week before, and we’ll introduce you to everyone ahead of the session.
What time is the social?
At what stage of pregnancy should I attend?
We recommend that you begin your course after week 25 of your pregnancy to complete the course by week 37.
If you purchase the social add on with your booking, please bare in mind that not all courses run monthly so you may need to book an earlier course to be able to attend your social before your baby is due.
What happens if my baby arrives early?
If your baby is born before 37 weeks of pregnancy and you haven’t started the course, we will issue you a full refund, minus a £5 admin fee

Will there be other second/subsequent time famiiles at the social
As the refresher course is accessed UK wide, we cannot guarantee that there will be second or subsequent time families at the socials.
However, whether the families are first or second/subsequent-time parents, we know from experience that these local friends will provide an invaluable support network once your baby arrives
