How much are York antenatal classes?
Our York antenatal classes cost £199 for two people. We also offer a single-parent discount. See our FAQs for full details.

Who runs the classes?
Meet Hazel.
Hazel is one of the midwives teaching our antenatal classes in York. She graduated from York University in 2010 and has practiced as a midwife ever since. She has developed an ever growing passion over the past 14 years for postnatal care and infant feeding which has led her to training and qualifying as a Lactation Consultant with the IBCLC.
How does this differ to NCT classes in York?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in York are priced at £269, compared to £199 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. The NCT classes in York take place at the Jacobs Well church or Priory Street Centre whereas our classes take place at a comfy, sociable venue where you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates in lovely surroundings.
Our local community
Most of the people coming on our York course are from York. The course is also popular with those living in neighbouring areas of Fulford, Rawcliffe and Huntingdon.
From walks along the River Ouse, to coffee meetings in the city and playdates at each other’s houses, graduates from our York antenatal classes are never short of things to do together.
