Winchester: where are the classes held?

Our Winchester antenatal classes are held at The William Walker pub, located in the historic square in the centre of Winchester.

How much are Winchester antenatal classes?

Our Winchester antenatal classes cost £199 for two people. We also offer a single-parent discount. See our FAQs for full details.

Who runs the classes?

Meet Sophie.

Sophie is one of the midwives that teaches our courses in Winchester. Sophie qualified from Bournemouth University. She says, "I run a safe space to explore options available to women and birthing people based on the latest evidence available to help families make the right choices for them. My sessions are supportive and non-judgemental to help families feel confident and empowered in their birth journey."

How does this differ to NCT classes in Winchester?

NCT classes have been around since the 1950s and for many decades were the only antenatal classes. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case. Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes in Winchester are not the same as NCT classes in Winchester, or other antenatal classes in and around Winchester. Here are some of the differences (as per December 2024).

Our local Winchester community

Most people on our Winchester course are from Winchester. The course is also popular with people living neighbouring areas of Eastleigh, Abbots Worthy and Chandlers Ford.

From walks around the cathedral and the local countryside, to hangouts in the coffee shops and at each other’s houses, graduates from our Winchester antenatal classes are never short of things to do.
