Teddington: where are the classes held?
Our Teddington antenatal classes take place at the popular Anglers Pub at Teddington Lock, a 15 minute walk from Teddington Station. There is a small 10 space car park on site, or a larger car park located just up the road.

Who runs the classes?
Meet Sam.
Sam is one of the midwives who teaches out Teddington antenatal classes. She qualified as a midwife in 2020 from City, University of London and now works as a community and hospital-based midwife. She recently became a new mum herself and can't wait to meet you wherever you along the way and support your incredible, unique journey into parenthood!
How does this differ to NCT classes in Teddington?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes close to Teddington are priced at £369, compared to £259 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. The closest NCT classes for people living in Teddington are held at the Kingston Quaker Centre in Kingston or The Exchange in Twickenham, whereas our classes take place at The Anglers pub so you can relax in lovely surroundings and make the most of socialising with your course mates.
Our local Teddington community
Most of the people coming on our Teddington course are from Teddington. The course is also popular with those living in neighbouring areas of Hampton Wick, Strawberry Hill and Hampton Hill.
From walks along the River Thames or in Bushy Park, to coffee shop hangouts and playdates at each other’s houses, graduates from our Teddington antenatal classes are never short of things to do together.
