How much are Stroud antenatal classes?

Who runs the classes?
Meet Jess
Jess is one of the midwives that teaches our Stroud antenatal classes.
Jess graduated in 2018 from Kingston University, she has worked within both the community and hospital setting since qualifying. Her passions are supporting families with feeding in the first crucial stages, and supporting physiological birth. She loves being outdoors and exploring new countries (as she demonstrated by spending 2 years backpacking!), when she is in the country she loves walking, climbing and playing the piano.
She says 'I'm so excited to meet you all and help you on your journey to becoming parents. You will leave the course feeling confident and excited for the next chapter of your lives, it is a privilege to be there to help you prepare you for it!'
How does this differ to NCT classes in Stroud?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Stroud are priced at £269, compared to £199 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. The NCT classes in Stroud take place at France Lynch Church Rooms whereas our classes take place at a comfy, sociable venue where you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates in lovely surroundings.
Our local community
Most of the people coming on our Stroud course are from Stroud. The course is also popular with those living in neighbouring areas of Nailsworth, Minchinhampton and King’s Stanley.
From walks in the beautiful countryside to coffee meetings in town and playdates at each other’s houses, graduates from our Stroud antenatal classes are never short of things to do together.
