How does this differ to NCT classes in Shepherd’s Bush?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Shepherd’s Bush are priced at £369, compared to £249 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. NCT classes in Shepherd’s Bush are held at Askew Road Church whereas our classes take place at The Bull pub and in the cosy Attic space at the Bush Theatre where you can make the most of socialising with your course mates.

We recommend that you begin your course after week 25 of pregnancy and complete the course by week 37 of pregnancy. There are recommended courses for you due date on the course location pages.

Birth partners have a really important role so we encourage them to come to all sessions. There is also a dedicated session and booklet to support them. If you do not have a birth partner please contact us about our single parent family discount.
