Richmond: where are the classes held?
Our Richmond antenatal classes are held in the private room of The Hope pub on Kew Road, which is a very short walk from Richmond station.

Who runs the classes?
Meet Cara.
Cara is one of the midwives that teaches our Twickenham antenatal classes. Cara completed her midwifery training as a mature student at Kingston University and St George’s Hospital in 2019. Prior to this she worked for MacMillan Cancer Support delivering social support services. Cara says: “We are all so wonderfully different and childbirth is no exception. I’m really looking forward to teaching you on the HPHB course which goes above and beyond to recognise your individual choice. I’ll be providing you with lots of information and making sure that you feel absolutely supported in making the choices that are right for you. I want you to have the most positive pregnancy and childbirth experience possible, whilst sharing this with some other fabulous people… and having a laugh along the way.”
How does this differ to NCT classes in Richmond?
NCT classes have been around since the 1950s and for many decades were the only antenatal classes. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case. Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes in Richmond are not the same as NCT classes in Richmond, or other antenatal classes in and around Richmond. Here are some of the differences (as per December 2024).
Our local Richmond community
Most of the people coming on our Richmond course are from Richmond. The course is also popular with those living in neighbouring areas of Ham, Sheen and Kew.
