Who runs the classes?

Meet Emily.

Emily is one of the midwives that teaches our Raynes Park antenatal classes. She trained to become a midwife at Kings College London in 2018 and now works as a community and birth centre midwife at Imperial. In her spare time you’ll find her cycling around London to meet friends or at a yoga class. Emily says “I can’t wait to meet you and provide you with all of the support you need on this exciting journey!”

How does this differ to NCT classes in Raynes Park?

The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.

The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.

Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid, at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Raynes Park are priced at £369, compared to £259 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. NCT classes in Raynes take place at the Residents Pavilion whereas our classes take place at Pavilion SW20 so you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates.

Our local Raynes Park community

Most of the people coming on our Raynes Park course are from Raynes Park. The course is also popular with those living in neighbouring areas of New Malden, Wimbledon and Morden.

From walks on Wimbledon Common, to trips to Richmond Park, to coffee shop hangouts and playdates at each other’s houses, graduates from our Raynes Park antenatal classes are never short of things to do together.

Is it worth it?

“Truly brilliant course. Couldn’t wish for better. Feel so much more empowered about birth and looking after baby having been on this course. The resources you’re given afterwards are great too. Excellent value for money! Thanks guys”
