Who runs the classes?

Meet Fleur.

Fleur is one of the midwives that run Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes in Plymouth.

She says “Welcome to our wonderful community of expecting parents here in Plymouth. I really look forward to supporting you through your pregnancy and as you welcome your baby.”

How does this differ to NCT classes in Plymouth?

The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.

The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.

Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Plymouth are priced at £269, compared to £199 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. The NCT classes in Plymouth take place at Baby Sensory South Devon whereas our classes take place at The Treasury where you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates in lovely surroundings.
