Who runs the classes?

Meet Fleur.

Fleur is one of the midwives that teaches Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes in Nottingham.

She says “Congratulations on your pregnancy. I’m really looking forward tu supporting you over the coming months as you prepare to meet your baby.”

How does this differ to NCT classes in Nottingham?

The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.

The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.

Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Nottingham are priced at £269, compared to £199 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. The NCT classes in Nottingham take place at Nottingham Girls' High School whereas our classes take place at a comfy and sociable venue where you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates in lovely surroundings.

Most of the people coming on our Nottingham course are from Nottingham. The course is also popular with those living in neighbouring areas of Beeston, West Bridgford and Long Eaton.

From walks around Wollaton Park to coffee meetings in the city centre and playdates at each other’s houses, graduates from our Nottingham antenatal classes are never short of things to do together.
