Our London Fields antenatal classes are held at the vibrant and popular Martello Hall on Mare Street, in the heart of Hackney, just 5 minutes walk from London Fields overground.

Who runs the classes?
Meet Lauren.
Lauren is one of the midwives who teaches our London Fields antenatal classes. She graduated in 2018 from London South Bank University and has worked since as a midwife in London. She has worked across maternity services but currently works as a senior midwife in a Maternal Fetal Assessment Unit. She says: “I can’t wait to welcome you all on the course. Through our sessions I hope to leave you feeling excited and confident to embark on this new chapter in your lives!”
How does this differ to NCT classes in London Fields?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, the nearest NCT classes are in Hackney and are priced at £369, compared to £199 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. The nearest NCT classes take place at the Adiaha Antigha Centre, whereas our classes take place at Martello Hall so you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates.
Our local London Fields community
Most of the people coming on our London Fields course are from London Fields and Hackney. The course is also popular with those living in neighbouring areas of Dalston, Islington and Bethnal Green.
From walks in Shoreditch and Hackney Marshes, to coffee shop hangouts and playdates at each other’s houses, graduates from our London Fields antenatal classes are never short of things to do together.
