Kensal Rise: where are the classes held?
Our Kensal Rise evening classes are held at Paradise By Way of Kensal Green, on Kilburn Lane which is close to Kensal Green and Kensal Rise stations.
How much are Kensal Rise antenatal classes?
Our Kensal Rise antenatal classes cost £259 for two people. We also offer a single-parent discount. See our FAQs for full details.
Who runs the classes?
Meet Ashleigh.
Ashleigh is one of the midwives who teaches our Kensal Rise antenatal classes. She trained in Manchester, and qualified in 2018. She has worked in the NHS, and abroad in the Middle East, and now works in fertility. In her spare time, she enjoys a regular yoga practise and cooking with new recipes. Ashleigh is looking forward to welcoming you to the course and helping you to prepare for your family to grow!
How does this differ to NCT classes in Kensal Rise?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes close to Kensal Rise are priced at £369, compared to £259 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. NCT classes near Kensal Rise are held at Gracelands Yard whereas our classes take place at Paradise by Way of Kensal Green so you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates.
Our local Kensal Rise community
Most of the people coming on our Kensal course are from Kensal Rise and Kensal Green. The course is also popular with people living in the neighbouring areas of Willesden and Kilburn.
From walks in College Park and along Chamberlayne Road, to baby classes and playdates at each other’s houses, graduates from our Kensal Rise antenatal class are never short of things to do.
