Hove: where are the classes held?
Our Hove antenatal classes are held in the Poets Ale and Smokehouse which is on Montgomery Street, which is close to Aldrington station.

Who runs the classes?
Meet Nathalie.
Nathalie is one of the midwives that teaches our Hove antenatal classes. She graduated in 2011 from Kings College University and works as a community midwife in Brighton. She previously worked as a caseloading midwife in a south London hospital for almost a decade, specialising in home births and caring for women with additional mental health needs. She moved to Brighton two years ago with her young family and is enjoying becoming part of the community. She loves an up-cycling project and can often be found in her garage, sanding, painting or tiling something or another.
She is passionate and excited about building confidence and knowledge is her parents to be, and feels privileged to support them on their incredible journey into parenthood.
How does this differ to NCT classes in Hove?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Hove are priced at £269, compared to £199 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. NCT classes in Hove are held at the BHASVIC (Brighton Hove & Sussex Sixth Form College) whereas our classes take place at The Stoneham so you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates.
Our local Hove community
Most of the people coming on our Hove course are from Hove. The course is also popular with those living in neighbouring areas of Portslade, Southwick and Shoreham-by-Sea.
From walks in Preston Park or along the beachfront, to coffee hangouts and playdates at each other’s houses, graduates from our Hove antenatal course are never short of things to do.
