Who runs the classes?

Meet Felicity.

Felicity is one of the midwives that teaches our Haywards Heath classes. She qualified as a midwife in 2019 from City, University of London. She worked in a busy, central London hospital before moving to East Sussex in 2021 where she now works at a local birth centre. She's a mum of one and in her spare time enjoys walking the family's bouncy Labrador.

How does this differ to NCT classes in Haywards Heath?

The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.

The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals

Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Haywards Heath are priced at £269, compared to £199 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. NCT classes in Haywards Heath are held at Haywards Heath Town Hall, whereas our classes take place at the Hop Sun tap room so you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates.

Our local community

Most of the people coming on our Haywards Heath course are from Haywards Heath. The course is also popular with those living in neighbouring areas of Wivelsfield, Walstead and Lindfield.

From exploring Nymans Gardens & House and pregnancy yoga with LushTums to coffee shop hangouts and playdates at each other’s houses, graduates from our Haywards Heath antenatal classes are never short of things to do together.

Is it worth it?

“These classes are amazing - you’ll meet a great group of friends and learn loads from a team of specialists who really know their stuff.”
