Godstone: where are the classes held?
Our Godstone antenatal classes are held at The White Hart on the High Street where there is plenty of parking close by.

How much are Godstone antenatal classes?

Who runs the classes?
Meet Louise.
Louise is one of the midwives who teaches our Godstone antenatal classes. Louise qualified as a midwife in 2020 (mid pandemic!) and very quickly started as a labour ward midwife at the Princess Royal University Hospital. She then transferred to a continuity team and experienced working with families from more vulnerable backgrounds, supporting women in very different labours and births. She is now in a traditional community midwife team and has just completed her training in being able to perform the ‘newborn and infant physical examination’. She says: “Transitioning into a family can be a very exciting but scary time; the journey from pregnancy to birth and beyond can seem quite overwhelming at times and I feel that being educated really enables families to make informed choices about the care of themselves and their babies.”
How does this differ to NCT classes in Godstone?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Godstone are priced at £299, compared to prices from £199 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. NCT classes in Godstone are held at St Paul’s Church in Woldingham, whereas our classes take place at The White Hart pub where you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates.

Most people on our Godstone course are from Godstone. The course is also popular with people living neighbouring areas of Bletchingley, Nutfield and Crowhurst.
From walks in Marden Park and trips to Godstone Farm, to hangouts in the coffee shops and at each other’s houses, graduates from our Godstone antenatal classes are never short of things to do.
