Our Exeter antenatal classes take place in a private room at the City Gate Hotel on North Street, with great transport links and plenty of parking options.
How much are Exeter antenatal classes?
Our Exeter antenatal classes cost £199 for two people. We also offer a single-parent discount. See our FAQs for full details.
Who runs the classes?
Meet Fleur.
Fleur is one of the midwives that runs Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes in Exeter.
She says “I’m really looking forward to supporting you over the coming months and helping you build a great network in your local area.”
How does this differ to NCT classes in Exeter?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Exeter are priced at £269, compared to £199 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. The NCT classes in Exeter take place at the Shillingford Village Hall whereas our classes take place at City Gate Hotel, a comfy and sociable venue where you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates in lovely surroundings.
Our local community
Most of the people coming on our Exeter course are from Exeter. The course is also popular with those living in neighbouring areas of Exmouth, Ottery St Mary and Crediton.
From walks by the river to coffee meetings near the cathedral and playdates at each other’s houses, graduates from our Exeter antenatal classes are never short of things to do together.
Is it worth it?
