Who runs the classes?

Meet Aimee.

Aimee is one of the midwives who teaches our Crawley antenatal classes. She graduated in 2017 from Kingston University and now works as a community midwife in Worthing. She's also a busy mum of two and in her spare time loves exploring the beach and doing crafts. She says: “'I'm so excited to meet you and teach your antenatal course. I can't wait to support you on your journey to parenthood and give you all the skills and knowledge you need for this exciting stage of your life!”

How does this differ to NCT classes in Crawley?

The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.

The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.

Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Crawley are priced at £299, compared to £199 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. The NCT classes in Crawley take place at the Crawley United Reformed Church whereas our classes take place at Heathy Farm Pub where you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates in lovely surroundings.
