Online antenatal course content
Preparing For Birth
Our midwife and obstetric doctor will support you as you prepare to meet your baby. From things to do in pregnancy, such as writing birth preferences and packing bags, to recognising the signs of labour and knowing what to expect at each stage. Our doctor will also explain when you might be offered induction, assisted or Caesarean birth and help you make any birth as positive as possible.
Hypnobirthing
Our hypnobirthing teacher will guide you through all your tools for a positive and empowered birth, whether you're planning a vaginal or abdominal (Caesarean) birth. With breathing techniques, relaxations, positions and more. Our doctor will also talk you through other ways of keeping comfortable including gas and air and epidurals if you wish to use them.
Baby First Aid & Health
Our Baby First Aid instructor will help you learn to manage choking, resuscitation (CPR), the recovery position, burns, fevers, febrile seizures rashes and meningitis. Our Paediatric (baby) doctor will also prepare you to meet your baby.
Practical Baby Care
We’ll cover everything from how to hold and settle a baby, to washing, dressing and changing nappies. Our IBCLC feeding specialist will support you with all the knowledge and skills you need if you choose to breastfeed or bottle feed your baby.

When will I get access to the course portal?
You will be emailed instructions at the beginning of the month on how to access the course portal
Do I need to watch the videos on the portal before the Q&A session?
Yes, we would recommend watching the videos in the portal before your Q&A. No new content is covered is the Q&A sessions
Are birth partners included in the course cost?
Absolutely! Birth partners play a really important role, so we encourage them to watch the content on the course portal with you and also join the live Q&A sessions.
What if i can't make one/some of the online Q&A sessions?
Are all of the sessions included in the course price?
Is the course suitable for second/third/fourth time parents?
We do offer a refresher course for subsequent time parents.
What happens if my baby arrives early?
If your baby is born before 37 weeks of pregnancy and you haven’t started the course, we will issue you a full refund.
If you are part way through your course and your baby arrives before 37 weeks of pregnancy, please contact us at bookings@happyparentshappybaby.com, and we’ll be able to assist you.
What happens if a medical condition prevents me from attending?
