Greenwich: where are the classes held?
Our Greenwich and Deptford antenatal classes take place in the private room of the Greenwich Tavern pub which is on King William Walk which is close to Greenwich station. The venue is easily accessible via buses in the area.

Who runs the classes?
Meet Francine.
Francine is one of the midwives who teaches our Greenwich antenatal classes. Francine qualified as a midwife in 2004 and she has worked in all aspects of midwifery care. The bulk of her career has been spent attending home births.
In her spare time she is a tennis mum and loves cooking. She has two children, the births both very different experiences; the first one full of fear, her second a fantastic experience because she was confident, knowledgeable and in control. Francine says “I enjoy seeing families grow as they complete the course, and become confident, excited and ready for parenthood.”
How does this differ to NCT classes in Greenwich?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Greenwich are priced at £369, compared to £259 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. NCT classes in Greenwich take place at Kido Greenwich Nursery and Pre-school, whereas our classes take place at The Greenwich Tavern so you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates.
Our local Greenwich & Deptford community
Most of the people coming on our Greenwich course are from Greenwich and Deptford. The course is also popular with those living in neighbouring areas of Blackheath, Charlton and Westcombe Park.
From walks in Greenwich Park or along the river, to coffee shop hangouts and playdates at each other’s houses, graduates from our Greenwich antenatal classes are never short of things to do together.
