Cheam: where are the classes held?

Our Cheam antenatal classes take place the newly refurbished Robin Hood pub on West Street, close to both Gibson Road and St Nicholas car parks.

How much are Cheam antenatal classes?

Our Cheam antenatal classes cost £259 for two people. We also offer a single-parent discount. See our FAQs for full details.

Who runs the classes?

Meet Sarah.

Sarah is one of the midwives who teaches our Cheam antenatal classes. Sarah qualified as a Midwife in 2012, gaining a BsC (HONS) Degree from Kingston and St. George’s University in London. Sarah currently works at Epsom and St. Helier NHS Trust, working in all Maternity areas, including Labour Ward and Midwife-led Birth Centres. Sarah also has experience in IVF having worked in a private Fertility Clinic in Surrey.

Alongside her career, Sarah is also a busy mum of two, spending most weekends cheering on her son at the side lines of football, and travelling around the UK for her daughter’s cheerleading competitions. Sarah is a huge fan of the sea and chasing the sun down by the beach.

Sarah says “I can’t wait to welcome you on the course! It’s a big journey, entering parenthood. However, I have a wealth of knowledge and expertise to share. You will leave the course feeling prepared and empowered with life-long friends by your side”.

How does this differ to NCT classes in Cheam?

NCT classes have been around since the 1950s and for many decades were the only antenatal classes. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case. Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes in Cheam are not the same as NCT classes in Cheam, or other antenatal classes in and around Cheam. Here are some of the differences (as per December 2024).

Our local Cheam community

Most of the people coming on our Cheam course are from Cheam. The course is also popular with those living in neighbouring areas of Sutton, Ewell and Banstead.

From walks in Nonsuch Park, to coffee shop hangouts and playdates at each other’s houses, graduates from our Cheam antenatal classes are never short of things to do together.
